How Pricing Works

As a homeowner, you set the price for each job on the Request Job form. Once posted, workers get notified with the job details and your set price. If they’re interested, they will apply and agree to the set price. No hourly rates are accepted -- that way, you know the cost upfront with no surprises. If anything about the job changes or the price needs to be adjusted, you and the worker can work that out directly.

Before being connected with the worker, ONIT charges a connection fee for this service. ONIT does not employ or contract the workers and operates as a middle man connection service. More information on how the fee is determined is further down on the page.

Payment:

  • Workers can be paid directly upon completion and review of the job in any agreed upon manner. Workers typically accept Cash, Venmo or Check.

  • ONIT will email/text you an invoice for the Connection Fee which is to be paid by card. This payment is due prior to getting connected with the worker(s). Learn more about the Connection Fee below.

Connection Fee

How the Connection Fee is Determined

The Connection Fee is determined prior to submission taking into account the below factors.

Base Rate

Job Size

Demand

The base rate is a flat fee for getting connected with workers starting at $17. This may increase based on Job Size, Demand, Time to Completion, etc.

When a job request is larger and more complex, the Connection Fee may be increased.

When job types are in high demand and available workers are limited, this may increase the Connection Fee.

If short notice is given to get the job completed, the Connection Fee may be increased.
